After a violate week in the equity and precious metals markets, it is time to take a pause for a Good Friday market review. This week the Dow Jones Index finished up a year .52% to close at $33,153. The S&P 500 finished the week very strong and closed up 1.18%. The Nasdaq also, finished the week up 1.76% to close and 13,480.10. Much of this price action came on the back of president Biden’s 2.2 trillion dollar infrastructure plane announcement.

Precious metals Good Friday Market Review

The precious metals market experienced a very volatile week. On Monday Gold prices fell sharply on the back of higher U.S. bond yields. The price continued to fall into the middle of the week until prices reversed sharply later into the week. Like the equity markets, the gold market was strongly influenced by the Presidents infrastructure bill. Silver prices followed suit with gold prices following the same pattern. At the end of the week both metals finished flat and remained at the price levels they started being the week. Gold ended the week at $1732 and silver ended qt 25$.

Should You Buy or Sell?

In conclusion, should you buy or sell precious metals, equities, bonds, real estate? The answer to this question is not easy, however, what is clear is that more money printing is on the way. After 6 trillion dollars of economic stimulus coming out of the Covid-19 debacle and another 2.2 trillion dollar infrastructure bill on the way, the future is clear. More money printing is on the way! Experienced investors know that when the government prints money, inflation follows and all assets rise. Therefore, it is a wonderful time to buy gold, silver, platinum, palladium physical bullion coins or bars.

What about Equities being at All Time high Prices, is this a good time to buy?

Buy low and sell high. Really think about it, should you buy anything at an all time high. Typically this is never a really good idea. Gold and Silver are still well below their all time high prices, and therefore it might be a better asset to buy. Personally I never buy at all time highs, I sell at all-time highs. I buy at lows. Food for thought, Happy investing!
